Hey There!
Welp we made it to week 3! Bentley’s staple removal went great! No sedation needed. Ohhhh Happy Day!
Surprisingly the oncologist said Bentley did amazingly. I think he may have a crush on his tech 😉
She’s incredibly patient and soft spoken with slow deliberate movements. Â I think she must be a big dog lover. She shows no nervousness with Bentley. Â Got the chemo IV in with no probs!
Bentley did, however, have some nausea and upset tummy. He’s pickier than ever with the food. Double cheeseburgers just won’t due anymore. He’s taking some baby foods, mainly the “meat” flavors. Big perk for Bailey Ann, she waits patiently to see if he’ll eat. When he walks away she slops it right up. I’m calling her Bailey the Belly now. Lol
All in all, making it thru day by day! He is my heart and I will buy every jar of baby food possible if I need to.
Also the big guy has been practicing stairs! Doing really well like he doesn’t even remember that spare limb!
Love in Atlanta,
Jamie, Bentley, and Bailey
Such a great update! Way to go Bentley!
I love the visual of Bailey the Belly finishing up the baby food! And cute “nickname too”!
Check with them vet about maybe giving Bentley so ething to coat his tummy. Also maybe you can gice Bentley a Cerenia before the next treatment..
My Happy Hannah was a 125 lb Bull Mastiff at time of amputation. Yeah, big dogs rock!! So much more ro love, right?
Hugs to you and your wonderful lack! Keep on rocking Bentley! We’re all cheering for you!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
Now THAT is an upbeat update! I’m so glad to hear you’ve found a great clinic and are able to work through the hurdles with chemo. It’s not easy but when you stay pawsitive like you are, it’s so much better for the whole pack. Kudos to you for being More Dog!
Here’s to a good week filled with delicious baby food, tummy rubs and lovin. Give him an extra smooch from us OK?
